WESTERN SOUTH PACIFIC. DNC 06. AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED AT 032153Z JAN WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 7.2 IN 19-30S 176-12E VICINITY OF FIJI. HAZARDOUS TSUNAMI WAVES ARE POSSIBLE FOR COASTS LOCATED WITHIN 300 KILOMETERS OF THE EARTHQUAKE EPICENTER. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
