SOUTH PACIFIC. TONGA. DNC 06. 1. EARTHQUAKE WITH MAGNITUDE OF 7.3 OCCURRED IN 19-18.00S 172-06.00W AT 111049Z NOV. TSUNAMI WAVES ARE POSSIBLE WHICH COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURROUNDING COASTS. 2. TSUNAMI ACTIVITY IS FORECASTED TO START AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES: A. HOLEVA 18-36.00S 173-00.00W AT 1109Z. B. NIUATOPUTAPU 15-54.00S 173-48.00W AT 1128Z. C. NUKUALOFA 21-00.00S 175-12.00W AT 1130Z. 3. TSUNAMI WAVES REACHING ONE METER ABOVE THE TIDE LEVEL ARE POSSIBLE AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
