WESTERN INDIAN OCEAN. PIRACY. PIRATE ACTIVITY VICINITY 02-47S 043-16E AT 170900Z MAR (APPROXIMATELY 160 MILES SOUTHEAST KISMAYO, SOMALIA). THIS AREA WILL REMAIN HIGH RISK FOR THE NEXT 24-48 HOURS, AND THE GENERAL AREA DUE SOUTH OF THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN HIGH RISK FOR THE NEXT 24-96 HOURS, AS WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO BE CONDUCTIVE TO SMALL BOAT OPERATIONS. MARINERS ARE WARNED TO AVOID TRANSITING THESE WATERS IF POSSIBLE.
