THE US COAST GUARD IS UPGRADING THE HIGH FREQUENCY DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING (DSC) TO ALLOW AUTOMATED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TEST CALLS. THIS WILL REQUIRE US COAST GUARD COMSTA KODIAK DSC SYSTEM TO BE OFF AIR FOR APPROXIMATELY EIGHT HOURS BEGINNING 191600Z JUN. COMSTA KODIAK (NOJ) WILL BE MONITORING GMDSS VOICE FREQUENCIES ON 4125.0 KHZ (2300Z - 1100Z), 6215.0 KHZ (24 HRS), 8291.0 KHZ, 12290 KHZ (1100Z - 2300Z). REVISED TEST CALL PROCEDURES WILL BE PUBLISHED VIA SEPARATE MESSAGE.
