WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC. AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED AT 282023Z APR WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 6.9, IN 08-00N 125-00E. A TSUNAMI MAY HAVE BEEN GENERATED. TSUNAMI WAVES ARE POSSIBLE ALONG SOME COASTS. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
