WESTERN SOUTH PACIFIC. DNC 06. EARTHQUAKE WITH MAGNITUDE OF 7.4 HAS OCCURRED IN VICINITY 23-06.00S 170-24.00E AT 200151Z MAY. BASED ON AVAILABLE DATA TSUNAMI WAVES REACHING 0 TO 0.3 METERS ABOVE THE TIDE LEVEL ARE POSSIBLE FOR FIJI, KIRIBATI, VANUATU AND WALLIS AND FUTUNA. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
