CORAL SEA. NEW CALEDONIA. DNC 06. 1. EARTHQUAKE WITH MAGNITUDE OF 7.0 OCCURRED IN 22-42S 170-12E AT 302057Z MAR. SMALL TSUNAMI WAVES HAVE BEEN OBSERVED. 2. TSUNAMI ACTIVITY IS FORECASTED TO START AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES: A. OUINNE NEW CALEDONI 22-00S 166-42E AT 2203Z. B. MARE NEW CALEDONIA 21-30S 167-54E AT 2208Z. C. LIFOU NEW CALEDONIA 20-54S 167-18E AT 2159Z. 3. TSUNAMI WAVES REACHING 0.07 METERS ABOVE THE TIDE LEVEL ARE POSSIBLE AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
