1. THE AUSTRALIAN MARINE SAFETY ADMINISTRATION (AMSA) HAS 
    RECENTLY PUBLISHED MARINE NOTICE 29/2007 CONCERNING THE USE OF
    GLOABAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) AND DIFFERENTIAL GPS (DGPS). IT
    CAUTIONS USERS, PARTICULARLY OF OLDER RECEIVERS, THAT UNDETECTED
    ERRORS CAN OCCUR IN RECEIVERS WITHOUT RECEIVER AUTONOMOUS
    INTEGRITY MONITORING (RAIM), OR DUE TO USE OF CHART DATUMS OTHER
   THAN WGS 84, AMONG OTHER REASONS.
2. AMSA URGES SHIP OWNERS NOT TO INTERFACE OLDER GPS UNITS TO
    DEVICES LIKE AIS AND ECDIS, AS THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO JEOPARDIZE
    SAFETY OF NAVIGATION.
3. CANCEL THIS MSG 27 FEB.
