EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN SEA. LIBYA. NGA CHART 56220 (4TH ED). 1. NATO AND COALITION SHIPS DETECTED THE LAYING OF MINES VICINITY OF MISURATA HARBOR (32-22N 015-05E) ON 29 APR. THREE MINES WERE IDENTIFIED. 2. MINE COUNTERMEASURE OPERATIONS HAVE REDUCED THE THREAT TO SHIPPING. 3. WHEN ENTERING AND LEAVING MISURATA HARBOR, MARINERS ARE ADVISED TO MAINTAIN ADDITIONAL LOOKOUTS AND REDUCE SPEED IN SHALLOW WATERS. 4. THE PORT OF MISURATA IS UNDER CONTROL OF THE PORT AUTHORITY. THEY WILL ADVISE SHIPS ENTERING AND LEAVING OF THE SECURITY SITUATION IN THE PORT. NATO DOES NOT CONTROL THE PORT. 5.
