1. 12 PIRATES IN A SEVEN METER VESSEL APPROACHED A CONTAINER SHIP UNDERWAY IN 04-39.2N 112-45.0E AT 281357Z JUL. THEY CHASED THE SHIP AND TRIED TO GET ALONGSIDE. THE THIRD OFFICER RAISED ALARM, TOOK EVASIVE MANEUVERS, ALERTED CREWMEMBERS AND THE MASTER FIRED THREE ROCKET FLARES. PIRATES ABORTED THE ATTEMPT. CAUTION ADVISED. 2. CANCEL THIS MSG 15 AUG.
