    1. At approximately 1130 PM EDT on Aug. 13, 2013, the tug "Doris Moran" lost power and it's tow, the barge "Alexandra," colliding with it in Buzzards Bay Massachusetts. The barge was carrying 6,000 tons of cement powder. There were no reports significant damage or pollution from the tug, but the barge was taking on water. USCG is on-scene and salvage efforts are underway. The NOAA scientific support coordinator is consulting with the USCG.
