1. On February 26, 1989, the tugboat KIDD sank 12 miles west of Marco, Florida in 41 feet of water. The tug contained approximately 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The entire cargo of diesel leaked out of the tanks through the vents and dissipated. There were no reports of impacts. USCG district 7.
