At 2047 hours (Pacific) USCG Sector San Francisco contacted the NOAA SSC to request a drift estimate for the inbound M/V Pacific Sea, a 623 foot bulk cargo carrier that had lost propulsion and adrift approximately 17nm Southwest of Point Arena, CA. Attempts are presently underway to get her under tow. She is accompanied by a tow vessel and the USCG Cutter Sockeye. Sector San Francisco requested a drift estimate.
