1. On August 13, 2020, the USCG Sec NOLA notified the NOAA SSC of two derelict vessels on fire in Bayou Bienvenue and Lake Borgne (aka Post Katina Junkyard). The area is not accessible by land. No response to the fire was initiated. USCG overflight on 14 Aug 2020 did not identify a release of oil from the vessels. Fire is out.
2. THREAT: OIL.
