MV TIRRANNA Vessel Grounding, Cape Charles, Virginia; Northampton County, VA, USA.
Northampton County, VA, USA.
1. On 27 April 2021, USCG Sector Virginia notified the NOAA SSC that a 760 foot long Norwegian flagged car carrier grounded just offshore Cape Charles, Virginia, No pollution reported at the time of notification. Vessel grounded due to loss of steering. No products or assistance requested of NOAA SSC at this time.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: OIL.
