F/V Nobska; Roughly 100nm E of Cape Cod, MA. Roughly 100nm E of Cape Cod, MA. 1. On May 3, 2021, the USCG Sector Southern New England contacted the NOAA SSC requesting a trajectory analyses for an F/V that was taking on water. The 98 ft F/V Nobska had caught fire on April 30th, approximately 100 NM east of Cape Cod. The crew were safely evacuated and efforts to tow the vessel back to port were initiated. However, it was found that the vessel began taking on water. USCG has requested a trajectory analyses for approximately 9,000 gallons of diesel and small amounts of other engine oils. 2.
