Mystery Spill off of Cape Helopen.
Offshore, Delaware.
1. At 4:30pm on 14 October, 2021,, USCG Sector Delaware Bay notified the NOAA SSC about an area where globules of black oil were discovered approximately 30 miles east of Cape Henlopen, Delaware. A vessel transitting the area reported an unknown amount of black oil in the water. USCG requested a spill trajectory.
