Tank Battery Spill, Port Sulphur, LA.
LA, USA.
1. On December 23, 2022, the USCG received notification of an approximate 30bbl spill of crude oil from a WCC Energy tank battery in Port Sulphur, LA. Approximately 2 miles of an adjacent canal have been significantly impacted. On December 27, the USCG notified NOAA and later requested NOAA on-scene support.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: CRUDE OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 1260 GALLONS.
