Satellite Report Indicates Potential Oil Slick, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Offshore Florida. 1. On June 20, 2023, the USCG called regarding an NOAA NESDIS satellite report indicating a potential oil slick 41.54 nm east of Fort Lauderdale. The anomaly has medium to high confidence from USCG request trajectory and threat information for the anomaly. USCG will update if additional information or observations are received.
