Platform Fire and Diesel Spill in Viosca Knoll, LA. LA. 1. On July 22, 2023, a compressor caught fire on a Cox Operating platform in Viosca Knoll. The fire is out. The platform is shut in. Diesel from the compressor entered the water and generated a 40-yard sheen which was naturally dispersed. 2. THREAT: OIL. 3. POSITION 29.084N 088.704W.
