Mystery Oil Discharge, Mobile River; Mobile, AL. 11 N Water St, Mobile, AL 36602, USA. 1. On November 3, 2023, a mystery oil sheen was first reported near the MARS recycling plant in Mobile, AL Investigations supported by an OSRO hired by USCG over multiple site visits indicated a slow but continuous flow of a petroleum product. The Mobile SSC is continuing to support USCG Sector Mobile on an ongoing investigation of this discharge. 2. THREAT: OIL. 3. POSITION 30.675N 088.037W.
