1. F/V WIND WALKER capsized and sank in the vicinity of Point Couverden, off southeastern Alaska, on December 1st, 2024. After searching for 24 hours, USCG suspended the search for the five people on board. On 12/5/2024, USCG Sector Southeast Alaska contacted the SSC to request support regarding a reported oil sheen.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 2200 GALLONS. TAGS: DERELICT.
