Oil Spill from TPIC Flow Line, Southwest Pass 24; Port Eads, Louisiana. Port Eads, LA, USA. 1. On January 16, 2026 a TPIC flow line in Southwest Pass 24 spilled approximately 10 barrels of oil into marsh adjacent to the Mississippi River. The U.S. Coast Guard requested NOAA assistance to determine appropriate cleanup techniques. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 420 GALLONS. TAGS: PIPELINE. 3.
