Tarball Report at Monterey Bay; Indian Head Beach, California.
M5MM+GR Marina, CA, USA.
1. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) notified the NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) that a private citizen reported tarballs at Indian Head Beach in Monterey Bay. The individual also reported finding two dead birds and a dead seal, and informed USCG they were collecting the tarballs. USCG dispatched personnel from Station Monterey to investigate. No additional support requested at this time.
