Point Sur, Monterey, California.
1. On May 16, 1986, the fishing vessel Hong Hanh grounded and capsized off Point Sur, Monterey, California, spilling approximately 400 gallons of diesel and about 100 gallons of lube oil. The majority of the release was contained within the surf zone and a light sheen was observed headed in a southerly direction. USCG district 11.
2. COMMODITY: DIESEL, LUBE OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 500 GALLONS.
