Allied Signal Company; Gravelly Creek, Hopewell, Virginia. Gravelly Creek, Hopewell, Virginia. 1. A processing tank at Allied Signal Company, Hopewell, Virginia failed at 1930 hours of November 8, 1993. The processing tank failure resulted in a release of cyclohexane into Gravelly Creek, a tributary of the James River. The potential amount of the release was 5,400 pounds. USCG district 5. Keyword: Centers for Disease Control ,evaporation, sorbent pads. 2. COMMODITY: CYCLOHEXANE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 600 GALLONS. 3. POSITION 37.300N 077.267W.
