1. During a routine pipeline transfer operation from British Petroleum (BP) Mississippi Canyon 109A, a spill of unknown volume occurred during the night of September 30, 1998. The spill volume was estimated at 3700 barrels with a potential of 7500 bbl. On October 1, a large patch of oil south of Southwest Pass was identified by an overflight and treated with dispersants USCG district 8. Keyword: none.
2. COMMODITY: CRUDE OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 155000 GALLONS.
