North Carolina Outer Banks.
1. On April 13th and 14th over 60 turtles were reported to be stranded along the barrier beaches of North Carolina. In fact, by May 2000, over 200 turtles washed ashore on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The causes of this unusual event were not known. USCG district 5. Keyword: turtle, stranding.
