Guam.
1. USCG Sector Guam contacted the NOAA SSC the night of July 20 to request support for release of 19,000 gallons of JP-8 fuel 20 nautical miles northwest of Guam due to the collision of two military jets on July 21 at 1000. Information was requested on jet fuel persistence and likelihood of shoreline impact.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: JP-8 FUEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 19000 GALLONS. TAGS: COLLISION.
