Lost AUV; New London, CT. New London, CT. 1. On 24OCT2008, NOAA ERD was contacted by the Office of Coast Survey to assist in locating a lost autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) in New London Harbor, CT. The AUV was lost on the afternoon of 17OCT2008 between 1540-1720. It is unclear if the AUV was fouled, surfaced or sunk, but last estimated position is approximately Lat-41deg18'25"N, Lon072deg04'52"W (near buoy 3). 2. THREAT: OTHER. 3. POSITION 41.307N 072.081W.
