NY Harbor #6 Fuel Spill; NY Harbor; Husdon R. NY Harbor; Husdon R. 1. On March 23, 2009 at 1800 EDT, the transfer line between two vessels failed releasing approximately 400 gallons of Fuel Oil No. 6 into New York Harbor (40° 38’N, 74° 4’W). The amount released is an estimate and not an actual measurement. At this time, no additional product has been released and oil spill observations (slick location and appearance) are unavailable. 2.
