1. The shrimping vessel, F/V Bigg Cobb was pushed into the water next to a dock last night during a fire with 70 gallons of diesel onboard. USCG reports no release at this time of report but state that a release could occur during planned salvage operations. The location is about 50 miles south of Savannah near I-95 at position 31-21.965N; 081-26.013W. The NOAA SSC provided oil fate information for the worst case release and discussed response strategies to minimize impacts and maximize recovery potential.
