1. At 1030am CST on 29Feb2012, USCG Sector New Orleans contacted the D-8 SSC to request science support (trajectory forecast, satellite imagery) for a crude oil (condensate) release in Garden Island Bay, Plaquemins Parish, LA starting at 1900CST, 27Feb2012. The discharge is estimated as 700gallons and has been secured and isolation booming is complete. NOAA support is requested in support of shoreline assessment (SCAT).
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: CRUDE OIL CONDENSATE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 700 GALLONS. TAGS: PIPELINE.
