1. On April 1, 2015, a PEMEX oil platform caught fire in southern Gulf of Mexico. The incident is in the Bay of Campeche in Mexican waters. Firefighting is on-going. Media reports a number of fatalities and a large evacuation of workers. The fire occurred at a Pemex dehydration and pumping platform known as Abkatun Permanente.
