Hawkins Island, Alaska.
1. On July 14, 2015, the FV Copper Star, a 76 foot steel hulled fishing tender, ran aground at Hawkins Island in Prince William Sound. The vessel is reported to have approximately 1,000 to 2,000 gallons of diesel on board. Fuel tanks are not reported to be leaking. The USCG has requested Resources at Risk information and assistance with coordination with USFWS and NMFS.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 2000 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING.
