Sweeper Cove, Adak Island, AK.
1. On December 14, 2015, two 110-foot tugboats came loose from their moorings in Sweeper Cove in the City of Adak when the pier they were moored to collapsed in a storm. Both tugs are currently soft aground at the jetty in Sweeper Cove. Amount of fuel onboard, if any, is unknown. The USCG Sector Anchorage requested a long-term weather forecast.
