1. On May 24, 2016, the USCG Sector Honolulu notified the NOAA SSC that the USS HOPPER had released 2000 gallons of fuel oil 1-D approximately 50 miles southwest of Barbers Point, Oahu, Hawaii. Trajectory support was requested. Fuel oil 1-D is a type of diesel and would not be expected to persist for more than 24 hours. NOAA trustees have been notified.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: FUEL OIL 1-D. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 2000 GALLONS.
