M/V Eunice LaMay; 2 miles south of Bayou La Batre, AL. 2 miles south of Bayou La Batre, AL. 1. On December 22, 2017, the USCG Sector Mobile contacted NOAA regarding a capsized vessel located in the Mississippi Sound approximately 2 miles south of Bayou LaBatre. The vessel is aground in approximately 9ft of water and is lying on her starboard side. Vessel owner plugged fuel vent on port side. Approximately 15,000 gallons of diesel on board. Owner plans to salvage vessel as early as Wednesday (12/27). USCG is seeking trajectory and fate and effect for possible discharge. 2. THREAT: OIL. 3. POSITION 30.341N 088.290W.
