Tug Sea Cypress Grounding; Lavallette Beach, NJ, USA. Lavallette Beach, NJ, USA. 1. USCG Sector Delaware Bay notified the NOAA SSC at 0530 hours on 24 July 2018 that the Tug Sea Cypress ran aground on a beach earlier this morning onLavallette Beach, New Jersey. Tug has 17,000 gallons of diesel fuel on board, USCG reported no discharge at this time. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL FUEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 17000 GALLONS. 3.
