Satellite Report Mystery Spill; SE of Cape Cod. SE of Cape Cod. 1. On September 6, 2018. NOAA NESDIS issued an unconfirmed report of oil 65 miles SE of Cape Cod. It is not associated with any known historic source. Two vessels were in the area and NOAA is assisting US Coast Guard with gathering information. 2. THREAT: OIL. 3. POSITION 41.019N 068.879W.
