FV Big John Vessel Grounding; Frisco, NC, USA.
Frisco, NC, USA.
1. On 6 February 2019, USCG Sector North Carolina notified the NOAA SSC about a fishing vessel that grounded off of Frisco, North Carolina (Outer Banks) on 5 February. Vessel had approximately 800 gallons of petroleum products on board. The vessel was a complete loss. USCG requested information about potential resources at risk and marine debris clean-up methods.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DEISEL FUEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 800 GALLONS.
