Sicek Cove on the north side of Sedanka Island at the mouth of Beaver Inlet was selected where salvor, Dan Magone, might be able to take the vessel for further stabilization.     Source report excerpt: “Evening report; Oct. 31: Around noon today the CG conducted an overflight to locate the FV Carley Renee and ascertain its status. The vessel was found still capsized and practically ashore on the SW side of Egg Island. A small sheen was noted around the vessel. See attached Power Pt (file and photos credited to Coast Guard). Dan Magone has been hired to attempt to place air pillows under the vessel to keep it afloat as it is towed to a place of refuge for more extensive salvage work and removal of the fuel. Tomorrow, Sunday, the NOAA SSC will be involved in a Unified Command called meeting to discuss possible places of refuge where the vessel might be taken. John Whitney NOAA SSC Anchorage”

The four POB were rescued by a CG cutter on-scene which is taking them to Unalaska/Dutch Harbor for interrogation. The vessel has 2000 gal diesel and 20-40 gal of hydralic fluid on board. No leak had occurred as of the reporting time; however, the CG cutter also reported that the winds and currents were pushing the vessel towards the rocks. A trajectory and weather information were requested. On Saturday, Oct. 31, a CG helo overflight found the vessel grounded on Egg Island, on the west side of Unalaska Island, but still capsized and with a small sheen move westerly from the vessel.
