Spill of Ethylhexyl Nitrate (Diesel Additive), Cap Sante Marina, Anacortes, WA.
Rotary Park, 517 6th St, Anacortes, WA 98221, USA.
1. On May 10, a tote carrying ethylhexyl nitrate (a diesel additive) was punctured by a forklift and spilled 130 gallons of the product on the ground and about 20-25 gallons into the water at the Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes WA. USCG and WA ECY were on-scene for containment and cleanup. Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound notified NOAA NW Regional Response officer for incident awareness, no products or support requested at this time.
2. THREAT: CHEMICAL. COMMODITY: ETHYLHEXYL NITRATE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 130 GALLONS.
