Fishing Vessel Sunk at Pier, Neah Bay, WA.
Neah Bay, WA.
1. The USCG Sector Puget Sound notified the NOAA NW SSC on 05-JUL-2022 that the 50’ F/V Valorous sank at the pier in Neah Bay, WA. There is a maximum potential for approx. 500 gallons of red-dye diesel that is discharging from the vessel, sorbents have been deployed to recover the product. The USCG requested a Resources at Risk and assistance in notifying the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: RED-DYE DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 2000 GALLONS.
