Tug Aground near Ferry Terminal, Lopez Island, WA.

1. On February 22, 2023, the USCG Sector Puget Sound contacted the PNW SSC that the Tug Tulalip is aground near the Lopez Island Ferry Terminal in the San Juan Islands, WA. The tug has the potential for approximately 400 gallons of diesel, no release is reported at this time. The USCG requested a Resources at Risk and a local weather forecast.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 400 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING.
