Jet Fuel Spill from Tanker Truck at JFK Airport; New York, NY. New York, NY, USA. 1. On the morning of 8 December 2023, USCG Sector New York notified the NOAA SSC that 5,000 gallons of Jet "A" fuel was released from a tanker truck of which 4,500 gallons entered a nearby stormwater basin. The USCG requested recommendations for clean-up methods and potential resources at risk. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: JET FUEL "A". MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 5000 GALLONS. 3.
