Pusher Tug Capsized/Sunk; Willamette River, Gladstone, OR.

1. On 14-DEC-2023, the USCG Sector Columbia River called the NOAA SSC about a 25’ pusher Tug KMT-3 that capsized and sank on the Willamette River on 13-DEC with approx. 700 gallons of diesel on board. The USCG requested support on resources at risk and the applicability of technology to locating the vessel.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 700 GALLONS.
