Midsteam Pipeline Mississippi River Spill; Buras-Triumph, LA.
Buras-Triumph, LA, USA.
1. On March 13, 2024, Midstream Pipeline Company reported an approximate 6 bbl spill onto land from the filtration system at the Chevron Empire Dock. Oil has impacted the adjacent vegetation and the Mississippi River. Cleanup is underway. The USCG requested assistance with cleanup techniques.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: CRUDE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 252 GALLONS.
