Catamaran OBSESSION Grounded, vicinity of Flamenco Beach; Culebra, Puerto Rico. Flamenco Beach, Culebra, Puerto Rico. 1. On the afternoon of 24 July 2024, NOAA's Assessment and Restoration Division and the USFWS's Caribbean Ecological Services Field Office notified the NOAA SSC that a 78 ft catamaran went aground on a coral reef in the vicinity of Flamenco Beach, Culebra, Puerto Rico. The vessel has an estimated 700-800 gallons of diesel fuel on board. No pollution was reported. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 800 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING. 3.
