BNSF Train and Tanker Truck Collision; Tacoma, WA.
326 E D St, Tacoma, WA 98421, USA.
1. On 13 August 2024, SSC was notified by Washington Department of Ecology about a BNSF train that collided with a tanker truck. The collision resulted in approximately 1500 gallons of denatured alcohol and gasoline into a storm drain that leads directly to a waterway. OSRO and WA state onscene mitigating this discharge. No NOAA products requested.
2. THREAT: CHEMICAL. COMMODITY: DENATURED ALCOHOL AND GASOLINE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 1500 GALLONS.
